2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV) - So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Have you ever looked at a situation and felt hopeless or discouraged? Maybe you are facing a health problem, a financial crisis, a broken relationship, or a personal struggle. It’s easy to focus on the negative aspects of our circumstances and lose sight of the bigger picture. But God wants us to see beyond the present and look at things from His perspective. He wants us to see the world not for what it is, but through the lens of eternity.
What does it mean to see through the lens of eternity? It means to recognize that God is in control and that He has a purpose for everything that happens in our lives. It means to trust that He is working all things together for our good and His glory (Romans 8:28). It means to remember that this life is not all there is, but that we have a glorious future awaiting us in heaven (John 14:2-3). It means to live with hope, joy, and peace, knowing that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39).
How can we see through the lens of eternity? We can do so by fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is the one who died for our sins and rose again, defeating death and sin once and for all (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He is the one who intercedes for us at the right hand of God (Romans 8:34). He is the one who will come again to take us to be with Him forever
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). He is the one who loves us with everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3). He is the one who gives us the eternal lens to see beyond the present.
Let Us Go Into the Throne room of Grace and Mercy.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing grace and love. Help us to see beyond the present and look at things from Your perspective. Help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the source of our hope and joy. Help us to live with an eternal mindset, knowing that You have prepared a place for us in heaven. In Jesus’ name, To God be The Glory.
If you need to talk, we are here for you.
