"C H O F Ministry: "Where Scripture Meets Innovation" 🙌🏿
Greetings, valiant warriors of faith! Today, we address the pain of being misunderstood and disliked because of someone else's biases. Remember, your worth is not determined by others' opinions but by God's unchanging love for you. ✨
"You are not responsible for the biases others carry, but you are responsible for how you respond to them."
– Bishop W. F. Houston, Jr. ✝️
Divine Revelation: Matthew 5:11-12 – "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." 📖
Our Philosophical Term For Today: "Praeiudicium"(præiudicium) (Latin) 🏛️ Meaning: "Pre-judgment, bias formed before examination." This profound Latin term describes opinions formed without personal knowledge or experience. We see Praeiudiciumwhen communities reject reformed individuals based on their past, when church circles form exclusive groups, and when leaders face judgment based on others' whispers rather than their present fruit. Praeiudicium reveals how pre-formed judgments can blind people to God's transformative work.
I remember a time when I was excluded from a group simply because someone had spread false rumors about me and others delved into my youthful past misguided steps. It hurt deeply to be judged without being given a chance to speak for myself. But in that season, God reminded me of His truth: "Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." I learned that I couldn't control others' biases, but I could control how I responded—with grace, integrity, and faith in God's justice.
Beloved, if you’re facing rejection or dislike because of someone else’s biases, know this: You are not alone, and their opinions do not define you. Jesus Himself was misunderstood, criticized, and rejected because of the biases of others. Yet, He responded with love and truth. Follow His example. Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, and let His love guide your actions. Your reward is not in the approval of people but in the approval of your Heavenly Father.🌈
Let Us Go Into The Throne Room of Grace and Mercy:
Heavenly Father 👑, we come before You, laying down the pain of being misunderstood and disliked because of others' biases. Heal our hearts and remind us of our worth in Your eyes. Help us to respond with grace and love, even when faced with unfair judgment. Strengthen us to walk in confidence, knowing that You are our defender and our reward.
In Jesus' mighty name, To God Be The Glory. 🙏🏿
