Broken Hallelujahs

Scriptural Insight: Psalm 34:18 (CSB) - "The Lord is near the brokenhearted; he saves those crushed in spirit."

During our brokenness, our praises to God can feel fractured, like shards of glass catching the light. Yet, it’s in these shattered moments that our hallelujahs echo most profoundly in the halls of heaven.

*Let's examine today’s distinctive word, Resilience.
Resilience is a word that has become increasingly popular in recent years, particularly in the context of mental health and personal development. But what does it mean to be resilient, and how does it relate to our faith?

At its core, resilience refers to the ability to withstand and recover from difficult situations, challenges, and setbacks. It is the capacity to bounce back from adversity, to adapt to changing circumstances, and to emerge stronger and more resilient as a result.

Life often confronts us with moments that strain our faith and challenge our spirit. It’s in these very moments of brokenness—when our hearts ache with loss, our spirits falter under the weight of trials—that our praise to God becomes a testimony of resilience. Our hallelujahs, though broken, rise as offerings of faith amidst adversity.

Friends, our broken hallelujahs are not signs of weakness but declarations of trust in God's unwavering love and sovereignty. They are prayers whispered through tears, songs sung through pain, and praises lifted through struggles. In every shattered note of our hallelujah, God hears the melody of our hearts and responds with grace.

As we embrace our brokenness, let us remember that God meets us in our vulnerability. He collects our broken hallelujahs and weaves them into a tapestry of redemption and healing. Our faith isn’t in our ability to hold it all together but in God's promise to never leave nor forsake us, even in our weakest moments.
