Isaiah 44:22 (AMP)
“I have wiped out your transgressions like a thick cloud And your sins like a heavy mist. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.”
Imagine that your past errors and setbacks are a dense cloud around you. It is so foggy that you can hardly make out anything in front of you. The sun then emerges, and the fog dissipates. The sun's heat causes it to evaporate, so it doesn't go anywhere else.
When we ask God to forgive us, the Son of God comes forth, sheds His light, and causes that sin to evaporate; once it's gone, it's gone forever. We all go through periods in our lives when sin, mistakes, and poor decisions obscure us. Hebrews chapter 10, verse 17 says that God will no longer remember our transgressions.
Beloved, my challenge to you today is to stop remembering what God has already forgotten. Stop bringing up things that are no longer significant or valid. By constantly reliving mistakes you've made in the past, you invite a cloud of negativity to follow you around wherever you go. God causes it to vanish, and the sun shines brightly for the next few hours. But then you start thinking about it again, which brings back the feeling of guilt, and a new cloud builds over your head. Your slate has been cleared. You have been redeemed and restored, so walk in the light He provides and do not cast Him aside. Amen? Amen.
Here's Today's Prayer
Good Morning our Beloved Transcendent Father.
Thank you, Father, for removing all our mistakes from our record as if a thick cloud had covered them and refusing to prosecute us. Thank you for redeeming us and the promise that You will no longer remember our past transgressions. We want to be able to move through Your light freely. With all sincerity, we pray, in Jesus' Name, Amen and Aaamen.
